So for the first 5 days you need to stick to a diet of as much real meat and fish as you like, salad and vegetables, (no mushrooms or potatoes though), eggs, natural live yoghurt (which helps attack the candida) and up to 2 ounces of brown rice a day. Unlike the Atkins diet, no dairy is allowed, such as milk and cheese. The best thing to drink is lots of water, sorry no juice, alcohol or sodas.
The first 5 days of the Harcombe diet and weight loss plan are for you to lose a good amount of weight and more importantly get food cravings under control which allows you to move onto phase 2 which is where you can eat fruit and more carbohydrates.
